After my day spent with Colin and Laura and two nights camping in their beautiful garden, I want to hit the road westward avoiding  paved axes.

J’ai bien essayé d’intégrer un groupe de touristes allant au cratère de Ngorongoro en faisant le tour des lodges, mais aucun n’a vraiment cherché à m’aider dans ce sens.

Colin m’avait indiqué que des pistes au départ du Park de Ngorongoro rejoignaient la route de Mwanza au Sud du lac Victoria, longeant le lac Eyasi par le Sud. Toutefois ces pistes ne sont pas forcément très fréquentées et il n’en connait pas vraiment l’état.

Par contre, il a un ami qui tient le lodge «Kisima Ngeda» sur les rives à l’extrême Est du lac Eyasi. Christian, d’origine allemande, en est propriétaire depuis plus de dix ans et connait le secteur.

Jusque chez lui : une superbe piste très roulante de latérite et de sable.

J’y serai formidablement accueilli. Christian me confirme que la piste est praticable (en tout cas jusqu’à l’autre extrémité du lac car il n’est jamais allé plus loin) et qu’un des tronçons est en réfection. Il m’offrira un super gueuleton pour, comme il dit, me donner des forces pour le trajet à venir.

Je décide donc de partir dans cette direction.

I tried to integrate a group of tourists from the Ngorongoro Crater in going around the lodges , but no one has really tried to help me in this direction.

Colin had told me at the start of the ski Park Ngorongoro joined Mwanza Road south of Lake Victoria, along Lake Eyasi in the south. However, these tracks are not necessarily busy and do not really know the state they are in.

By cons , he has a friend who runs the lodge  » Kisima Ngeda  » on the River in the extreme east of Lake Eyasi. Christian , of German origin, owns more than ten years and knows the area.

His home : a beautiful smooth area laterite and sand.

I am tremendously welcomed . Christian confirms that the trail is passable (at least until the other end of the lake because it never went away) and one of the sections is under repair . It offers me a great blowout for, as he says, give me strength for the journey ahead.

So I decided to go in that direction.

Cette zone est isolée de tout. Y vivent en parfaite entente deux ethnies différentes. Des Bushmens qui n’ont pas vraiment de ressemblance avec ceux rencontrés en Namibie, et des Datoga.

Le premier Bushman que je rencontrerai sera assez rigolo !

This area is isolated from everything. Y live in perfect harmony two different ethnic groups . Of Bushmen who do not really have resemblance to those encountered in Namibia and Datoga .

Je fais une pause le long de la piste après un franchissement difficile (la piste est bien en travaux mais une pluie torrentielle est tombée quelques heures auparavant et l’a complètement ravinée par endroits. J’avais bien remarqué une case en terre pas très loin mais n’y avais pas prêté plus attention que ça. Soudain, un homme crie et gesticule en grands mouvements m’invitant à le rejoindre.

« Karibu ! Karibu ! »

J’y vais. Celui-ci vient de terminer la réparation de son arc. Assis sur un tabouret de bois il est en train d’écouter de la musique sur un poste radio made in china qu’il est fier de m’exhiber!

Il ne parle pas anglais mais arrive à me faire comprendre que les piles de sa radio sont faibles et me demande si j’en ai à lui offrir !

Désolé de ne pas pouvoir lui venir en aide, je repartirai après quelques échanges gestuels et une photo de lui et son épouse devant la case.

I take a break along the track after a difficult crossing (the track is under construction but torrential rain fell a few hours ago and completely furrowed places. I noticed a mud hut not far but had not paid more attention to it . Suddenly a man shouts and gesticulates in large movements inviting me to join.

 » Karibu ! Karibu ! « 

I will . It just finished repairing his bow. Sitting on a wooden stool he is listening to music on a radio station made ​​in china that is proud to show me!

He does not speak English but manages to make me understand that the batteries are low on his radio and asks me if I have to offer !

Sorry not able to help him , I will leave after a few gestural exchanges and a photo of him and his wife in front of the box.

Quelques heures plus tard et après de nombreux passages très difficiles, je m’embourbe dans une flaque de boue dont la surface avait pourtant l’apparence de sable dur.

Un énorme camion-remorque est également coincé ici depuis deux jours, et au moment où, avec l’aide du chauffeur du camion, j’arrive à me sortir d’affaire, un 4X4 arrive en sens inverse et crève un pneu juste avant de franchir le même passage maudit !

A few hours later and after many very difficult passages , I bogged down in a mud puddle whose surface had yet the appearance of hard sand .

A huge truck -trailer is stuck here for two days, and when , with the help of the lorry driver , I can bail out me an oncoming 4X4 and bursts right front tire cross the same damn way!

Dans le 4X4, un homme parle anglais et me dit que la piste n’est en travaux que depuis peu, et par conséquent seulement rabotée sur les 100 kms qui suivent. Par conséquent il y a des tronçons de boue très difficiles et des crevasses gigantesques remplies d’eau à chaque futur radier. Il me conseille de couper à travers brousse en direction du lac pour rejoindre l’ancienne piste qui sera bien plus facile.

Suivant ces conseils, me voilà à zigzaguer entre les marécages, les bancs de sable et les quelques cases dispersées sur des kilomètres.  La nuit arrivant, je décide de planter la tente au milieu de nulle part et serai vite rejoint par une famille Datoga. Si les enfants sont heureux que je les prenne en photo, les adultes quant à eux sont très rétissants, surtout les femmes qui refusent catégoriquement. Les hommes sont assez ressemblants aux Masaïs sur le plan vestimentaire. Quant aux femmes, elles portent une multitude de bracelets de cuivre aussi bien aux poignets qu’aux chevilles.

J’échange une moitié de pain contre de l’eau et passerai une très bonne nuit sous tente.

In the 4X4 , a man speaks English and told me that the track is not working until recently and therefore only planed on 100 kms below. Therefore there are very difficult stretches of mud and huge cracks filled with water at each future strike . He advised me to cut through the bush towards the lake to the old track will be much easier .

Following these tips , I am zigzagging between swamps, sandbanks and a few huts scattered for miles. The coming night , I decided to pitch the tent in the middle of nowhere and am soon joined by a Datoga family. The children are happy that I take a picture , adults meanwhile are very resistant especially women who refuse categorically . Men are quite resembling the Masai in terms of dress . As for women , they carry a multitude of copper bracelets on the wrists as well as ankles.

I exchange a half of bread against water and spend a great night in tents.

Le lendemain après quelques galères en traversant une rivière boueuse, j’arrive enfin au village de Matala. Heureux d’y trouver des petits commerces pour acheter de l’eau et des biscuits, je reste plus d’une demi-heure à discuter avec les quelques habitants parlant un peu anglais, le tout en oubliant de couper le contact de la moto, feux allumés.

The next day after a few galleys across a muddy river , I finally get to the village of Matala . Happy to find small shops to buy water and biscuits , I left half an hour talking with a few people who speak a little English, while forgetting to turn off the ignition of the bike, fires .

Conclusion, la batterie se décharge et je parviens difficilement à redémarrer la bestiole.

A peine reparti de quelques minutes, et à la vue d’un énorme baobab, je décide de refaire une pause loin de la foule. Erreur ! Cette fois-ci, la moto ne redémarrera plus : Batterie trop faible.

Finally, the battery discharges and I manage difficult to restart the beast .

Just a few minutes left , and the sight of a huge baobab , I decided to redo a break away from the crowd. Error! This time, the bike does not restart : Battery too low .

Je suis à plus de 10 kms du village. Un type passe  à vélo mais lorsque je l’interpelle, il prend peur et j’aurai juste le temps de le voir s’enfuir en danseuse sur sa bicyclette en criant comme un dingue. Finalement un autre type arrive en moto et après l’avoir rassuré comme je pouvais, il acceptera de m’emmener derrière sa pétoire jusque Matala où je trouverai une batterie chargée et me ferai redéposer au pied de mon baobab après une balade épique, assis sur le porte bagage du propriétaire de ladite batterie.

Je redémarre et ne m’arrêterai plus pendant presque deux heures pour être sûr que ma batterie soit rechargée.

Puis soudain, un orage approche, je n’ai encore une fois pas vraiment le temps de trouver un abri et serai rincé comme une soupe en moins de 5mn. Quand j’arrive dans un village aux habitations de briques rouges, je m’approche de l’une des cours, et des enfants m’invitent à venir m’abriter dans une de ces petites constructions.

Je ne vois pas d’adultes. Les enfants me font partager un plat de foufou (ça faisait longtemps, depuis l’Afrique de l’Ouest, que je n’avais pas vu de manioc) avec une sauce verte gluante. Soudain la pluie cesse et les parents arrivent. Sur le coup j’ai eu peur de l’éventuelle réaction qu’ils auraient pu avoir en me voyant en train de manger avec leurs enfants. Mais bien au contraire, très souriants, ils iront chercher un jeune qui parle anglais et après quelques échanges accepteront volontiers que je dorme sous tente devant leur maison.

I am more than 10 kms from the village. A guy goes bike but when I calls , he gets scared and I just have time to see him run out of the saddle on his bicycle shouting like crazy . Finally another guy comes in and motorcycle after reassured as I could, he agrees to take me behind the Blaster Matala until I find a charged battery and will redeposit me in front of my baobab after an epic ride , sitting on luggage owner of said battery door.

I restart and stop me for almost two hours to make sure my battery is recharged.

Then suddenly , a storm is approaching , I again not really the time to find shelter and will be rinsed as a soup in less than 5 minutes . When I arrive in a village with houses of red brick , I approached one of the courts , and children invited me to come and take shelter in one of these small buildings .

I do not see any adults. Children make me share a dish fufu ( it’s been awhile since the West Africa , I had not seen cassava ) with a slimy green sauce. Suddenly the rain stops and the parents arrive. At the time I was afraid of the possible reaction they might have saw me eating with their children. But on the contrary , very cheerful , they will find a young person who speaks English and after a few exchanges will happily accept that I sleep in a tent in front of their house.

Le lendemain je retrouverai une magnifique piste de latérite rouge jusqu’à Isenke. Je suis dans un secteur très fertile et les habitants toujours aussi souriants m’inviteront à les rejoindre dans les champs.

The next day I will find a beautiful red-dirt track until Isenke . I’m in a very fertile area and always smiling people invite me to join them in the fields.

Une fois la route de goudron atteinte, il ne me faudra pas plus de quelques heures pour arriver à Mwanza.

Là-bas il pleut un peu. Comme à chaque fois dans les villes un peu plus grandes, l’accueil n’est pas aussi bon. Certaines personnes viennent m’aborder légèrement alcoolisées. Les seuls hôtels bon marché que je trouve n’ont pas de parking. Je décide de m’éloigner du centre et arrive dans un quartier résidentiel. J’y vais au culot : voyant une énorme habitation derrière une barrière surveillée par deux gardiens, je leur demande qui loge ici. Apriori ce sont des volontaires américains travaillant dans l’hôpital de la ville. Je demande aux gardiens d’aller chercher quelqu’un pour demander l’autorisation de planter la tente.

Les personnes qui arriveront finiront par accepter que j’entre, mais à peine après qu’ils m’aient montré un coin de jardin, ils iront se réenfermer à double tours dans leur maison de maître et je ne les reverrai jamais.

Once the tar road is reached, it will not take me more than a few hours to get to Mwanza .

There it rains a little. As always in some larger cities, the reception is not as good. Some people come tackle me slightly alcoholic . The only cheap hotels that I find do not have parking. I decided to get away from the center and into a residential area. I go to the pellet : seeing a huge house behind a fence monitored by two guards , I ask them which houses here . in priori are American volunteers working in the city hospital . I asked the guards to pick someone to request permission to pitch the tent .

People who arrive eventually accept that I enter, but only after they showed me a corner of the garden , they will be closed in the double towers in their mansion and I never see them again .

Ce seront les gardiens qui auront la gentillesse de me montrer un robinet d’arrosage au fond de la cour et une latrine réservée au personnel.

Bon en même temps je ne vais pas critiquer, j’ai eu ce que je voulais… Mais même s’il ne faut pas généraliser, je n’ai pas pu m’empêcher de penser que côté accueil je suis content d’avoir choisi l’Afrique plutôt que la route 66 !

Le lendemain matin, pris d’une fringale terrible, je me payerai un super petit dèj buffet à volonté dans l’un des hôtels un peu chics de la ville, avant de reprendre la route estomac et poches pleines, en direction de la frontière Burundaise.

Après une petite traversée en bateau sur une des artères du lac Victoria, je rejoins un goudron très roulant et je passerai ma dernière nuit en Tanzanie dans un coin perdu en brousse. Ma tente à peine plantée, un vieux arrivera me proposant d’aller dormir chez lui. Je refuse gentiment en essayant de lui expliquer que je suis bien ici dans ma tente, et une heure plus tard il reviendra avec un bidon d’eau !

Good at the same time I’m not criticizing, I got what I wanted … But even if we should not generalize , I could not help thinking that I’m home side glad I chose Africa rather than route 66 !

The next morning, took a terrible craving , I will pay a great little dèj buffet in one of the hotels a little fancy of the city, before resuming the road and pockets full stomach , towards the Burundian border .

After a short boat ride on one of the arteries of Lake Victoria , I joined a very fast tar and spend my last night in Tanzania in a remote bush . My tent just planted the tent, an old arrives offering me to go home to sleep . I refuse politely trying to explain to him that I am here in my tent, and an hour later he comes back with a bottle of water!

Voilà, je ne pensais pas remettre un article concernant la Tanzanie, mais cette dernière quinzaine plus à l’Ouest et loin des zones touristiques valait le coup !

La route vers le Burundi est magnifique.

Well, I did not think back an article on Tanzania, but the last fortnight further west and away from the tourist areas worth it!

The road to Burundi is beautiful.

Daar es Salaam : I will stay longer than expected .

En effet, en plus de faire mes visas pour le Burundi et le Rwanda, il me faut encore une fois changer le pneu arrière. Denis n’en ayant plus en stock, il en commande un à son fournisseur en Afrique du Sud. Mais ce dernier se trompe et envoie la mauvaise dimension : deuxième commande en urgence et le bon pneu arrivera in extremis le 24 décembre à 17H. Sachant que tout le monde est en congés pour les fêtes jusqu’au 27.

J’avais déjà fait mes adieux à toute la famille le 22 au matin car ils partaient en vacances et ils ont eu la gentillesse de me laisser  leur maison le temps que je règle tout ça.

Indeed, in addition to my visa for Burundiand Rwanda, I once again have to change the rear tyre . Denis does  it having more in stock, order it to a supplier in South Africa. But it is wrong and sends the wrong dimension : second urgent order and the good tyre arrive in extreme, December 24 at 17H . Knowing that everyone is on vacation for the holidays until 27 .

I had already said my goodbyes to the family on 22 in the morning as they went on holiday and they were kind enough to leave me their house while I rule everything.

Montage du pneu tubeless à la pompe à vélo chez Denis : j’y croyais pas moi-même ! Et me voilà enfin sur la route du Nord.

Denis m’avait conseillé la piste côtière mais je galère un peu à la trouver après Bagamoyo. Quelques détours et j’arriverai au Sud de Tanga, dans un petit camping conseillé également par Denis.

Je décide d’y rester deux jours : c’est la dernière fois que j’aurai l’occasion de me baigner dans l’océan indien et là aussi je dois faire mes adieux !

Je reprends la route le 29 par le goudron jusqu’à Ushoto.

Un endroit vraiment incroyable : à peine quittée la voie principale très aride, je me retrouve sur une route sinueuse à flanc de montagne, pour arriver dans ce gros bourg au fond d’une vallée. Les paysages sont dignes des Alpes tant la verdure est dense. Les torrents affluent de partout.

Ce lieu a d’ailleurs souvent été appelé «La Suisse Tanzanienne». Il a été colonisé par les Allemands entre 1887 et 1919. Après près de trois années de batailles pendant la première guerre mondiale, ce sont les anglais qui prendront le pouvoir en Tanzanie jusqu’à son indépendance au début des années soixante.

Là-haut dans la montagne je trouverai une place pour planter la tente à côté d’un endroit très simple et écolo ! L’Irente Biodiversity Reserve. Une multitude de petites fermes où l’on fabrique du fromage, des yaourts, des jus de fruits de la passion et même du pain à l’ancienne cuit au feu de bois. Le tout 100% bio !

Dans les prairies avoisinantes : des vaches laitières à l’allure de nos bonnes vieilles Normandes !

A quelques deux kilomètres de là, une vue grandiose sur l’autre côté du goudron : les steppes Masaïs ! Contraste assuré !

Après la chaleur quasi insupportable de Daar Es Salam, cet endroit absolument inattendu perché à plus de 1500 m d’altitude sera donc celui où je choisirai de franchir le cap de l’an 2014 dans un calme absolu.

Au menu du réveillon : pain frais, avocats, citrons, tomates, oignons, mangues et bananes du jardin, fromage frais aux herbes, fromage affiné, confiture de fruits de la passion, yaourt ! Bref, le Pied !

Tyre mounting tubeless bicycle pump with Denis: I’ll not believe it myself! And finally here I am on the North Road .

Denis had advised me the coastal track galley but I find it a bit after Bagamoyo . Detours and I get to South Tanga , in a small campsite also advised by Denis .

I decided to stay two days : this is the last time I have the opportunity to swim in the Indian Ocean and again I have to say goodbye !

I take the road on 29 by tar jusqu’Ushoto .

A truly amazing place : just left the main track very dry , I found myself on a road sinueuseà mountainside to reach this large village in a valley . The landscapes are worthy of the Alps as the dense greenery . Tributary streams everywhere.

This place has often been called  » The Switzerland Tanzania . » It was colonized by the Germans between 1887 and 1919. After nearly three years of battles during the First World War , it was the English who will take power in Tanzania until its independence in the early sixties.

Up in the mountains I find a place to pitch the tent next to a very simple place and green! The Irente Biodiversity Reserve. Many small farms that produces cheese , yogurt , juice passion fruit and even bread baked in the old fire. All 100% organic !

In the surrounding grasslands : dairy cows at the pace of our good old Norman !

Just two kilometers away , a magnificent view across the tar : Masai steppes ! Contrast guaranteed!

After almost unbearable heat of Daar Es Salaam , this absolutely unexpected perched at 1500 m will be the place
where I choose to cross the course of the year 2014 in absolute calm .

Eve menu : fresh bread , avocados, lemons , tomatoes, onions , mangoes and bananas from the garden , fresh cheese with herbs, ripened cheese, jam, passion fruit , yogurt ! In short, the foot !

En allant me balader dans la campagne avoisinante, je passerai de bons moments avec quelques paysans locaux, dont au passage la gentillesse impressionnante me fera vite oublier les quelques prises de bec juste après avoir passé la frontière du Malawi il y a six mois ou dans le port de Daar.

Je reprendrai la route en direction de Moshi le 2 Janvier. Mon intention était de passer par cette fameuse steppe Masaï pour passer quelques nuits dans les villages, mais forcément, à peine redescendu de ma montagne, la chaleur est insupportable. Je change donc de plan et emprunte la route principale vers le Nord où l’altitude me fera revenir au frais.

Arrivé au pied du Kilimandjaro, je serai déçu de voir celui-ci dans les nuages. J’espère que c’est juste une journée où la météo n’est pas favorable et que le lendemain il fera plus clair. Je me dirige donc vers l’Est de façon à essayer, le lendemain, de prendre la piste qui contourne le plus haut sommet africain (5895 m) en ayant une vue éclairée par le lever du soleil. Après m’être baladé dans le secteur, je reviens du côté de Marangu et cherche un endroit pour planter la tente. Comme d’habitude quand je cherche à faire du camping sauvage, j’emprunte les plus petites pistes et là, je tomberai par le plus grand des hasards sur les chutes Kinukamori.

L’endroit est paradisiaque. C’est Alpha, un local, qui a tout créé de ses mains. Amoureux de la nature et voyant à quelle vitesse le site était endommagé par les habitants qui venaient y couper le bois, il a réussi à obtenir la propriété pour une durée de 99 ans. Depuis, il a tout construit avec ses propres deniers !

Going wandering around the surrounding countryside , good times with some local farmers , including in passing the impressive
kindness make me quickly forget the few spats just after passing the border of Malawi there six months or the port Daar .

 I will take the road towards Moshi January 2 . My intention was to go through the famous Maasai steppe to spend a few nights in the villages, but necessarily , just dropped down from my mountain , the heat is unbearable . So I change my plan and follows the main road to the north, where the altitude will make me come back fresh.

Arrived at the foot of Kilimanjaro , I’ll be disappointed to see it in the clouds. I hope it’s just a day when the weather is not  favourable and the next day it will be clearer. So I headed East to try the next day, take the trail that bypasses the highest African summit ( 5895 m) with an informed view of the sunrise. After I wandered in the area, I back side Marangu and looking for a place to pitch the tent . As usual when I try to go camping , I take the smaller tracks and then I fall by the merest chance on Kinukamori
falls.

The place is paradise . This is Alpha , a local, who created all of his hands. Nature lovers and seeing how fast the site was damaged by people who came to cut wood, he managed to get the property for a period of 99 years. Since then, it has everything built with his own money !

Un petit resto, des chambres à louer et un emplacement pour planter quelques tentes. Le tout dans un cadre naturel exceptionnel au sommet des chutes.

En Tanzanie, le tourisme coûte très cher. C’est d’ailleurs pourquoi j’ai pris la résolution de ne pas aller dans les parcs. Une seule journée dans le parc du Kilimandjaro dont la frontière se trouve à 5 kms d’ici coûte 70 USD !

Pour l’escalader en six jours de marche, les amateurs de montagne doivent prévoir un budget de presque 1000 euros de façon à couvrir le prix journalier du parc, guides obligatoires et ravitaillements.

Alpha a plein de projets. Il connait la montagne par cœur et comme il dit : il y a vraiment moyen de se faire plaisir en se contentant de grimper à 3000 mètres hors parc.

Alpha me précise que tous les matins avant 8 ou 9 heures, le Kilimandjaro est découvert et qu’on a quand même la meilleure vue entre ici et Moshi à l’Ouest.

Le lendemain c’est donc cette direction que je prendrais, faisant des allers-retours par les pistes, au Nord de la route principale, de façon m’approcher au bord du parc. Cela me permettra de traverser les plantations de bananes et les petits villages dont les habitants ici appartiennent à l’ethnie des Chaggas, pour aller admirer au plus près le sommet plat recouvert de neiges éternelles de ce mythique toit du continent Africain.

In Tanzania , tourism is very expensive. This is why I have resolved not to go to the parks . One day in the park Kilimanjaro whose border is 5  km from here costs 70 USD!

To climb in six days of walking, mountain lovers should budget of almost 1000 euros to cover the daily price of the park, and required supplies guides.

Alpha has plenty of projects. He knows the mountain by heart and as he said, there really means to have fun by simply climb to 3000 meters outside the park .

Alpha tells me that every morning before 8 or 9:00 , Kilimanjaro is discovered and it still has the best view between Moshi and here in the West.

The next day so this is the direction I would take , making trips by tracks to the north of the main road, so I approached the edge of the park. This will allow me to pass through banana plantations and small villages whose inhabitants here belong to the ethnic
Chagga , to admire closer the flat top covered with eternal roof of this legendary African continent snow .

Petite anecdote :

Lors de mon passage chez Isa et Oliv en Afrique du Sud, ceux-ci m’avaient amené de France une boite de crème dessert «Mont Blanc» et je m’étais promis de ne l’ouvrir qu’une fois arrivé au pied du Kilimandjaro : Mission accomplie !

Bien-sûr, je ne pouvais pas avaler la boite tout seul alors j’ai organisé un petit cours de géographie, suivi d’une dégustation de cette crème qui porte le nom du plus haut sommet d’Europe occidentale, pour quelques Chaggas croisés dans un village.

Bien que cette idée soit farfelue (oui je sais j’ai une bonne tête de vainqueur !), tout ça n’a pas été aussi simple qu’il en parait. Allez expliquer tout ça à des Chaggas qui ne parlent pas vraiment anglais !

Il m’aura fallu commencer par manger moi-même une cuillère pour obtenir leur confiance car ils avaient d’abord pris le dessert pour mon huile de vidange !

Cela dit après avoir passé une heure de fou rire, même la grand-mère du coin a tenu a faire des progrès en géographie !

Ce challenge de taille qui a consisté à traverser le Botswana, le Zimbabwe, le Mozambique, le Malawi, la Tanzanie (avec un crochet par les Comores et Madagascar) en moto avec une crème dessert Mont Blanc dans les bagages, celle-ci ayant pris l’avion à Dunkerque pour atterrir à Vanderbijlpark, le tout en résistant à la tentation de la manger derrière un baobab ! … Mérite franchement que la marque m’en envoie douze caisses une fois de retour au pays ! Anecdote :

During my time at Isa Oliv in South Africa , they had brought me a box of France custard « Mont Blanc » and I promised myself not to open it once we arrived at the foot of Kilimanjaro : Mission accomplished!

Of course, I could not swallow the box alone so I organized a small geography lesson , followed by a tasting of this cream named after the highest peak in Western Europe for a few crossed in Chagga a village.

Bon, sur ce, un arrêt à Moshi, et je reprends la route vers l’Ouest en direction d’Arusha. J’y ai un contact, Steven, rencontré dans le camping au sud de Tanga. Il y habite depuis quelques années et travaille pour une association humanitaire qui a construit une école pour les enfants défavorisés (Ecole St Jude). Le projet a pris une ampleur colossale et est aujourd’hui reconnu comme l’une des meilleures écoles de Tanzanie.

Il me fera également visiter une source naturelle en pleine brousse : presque une oasis plantée dans un décor aride. Merci pour ton accueil !

Well, on a stop in Moshi , and I take the road westwards towards Arusha. I have a contact , Steven, met in the camp south of Tanga. He lived there for several years and works for a humanitarian organization that has built a school for disadvantaged children (Ecole St Jude) . The project was a colossal scale and is now recognized as one of the best schools in Tanzania.

I will be also visit a natural spring in the bush : almost an oasis planted in an arid setting. Thank you for your hospitality !

Une de ses collègues, Felicity, me conseillera d’aller à un village Masaï à 40 kms d’Arusha : aucun touriste n’y va mais l’un des membres parle un peu l’Anglais car il travaille parfois pour l’école, et ce sera plus simple pour communiquer avec eux.

J’irai y passer deux journées : en théorie, les Masaïs sont nomades et vivent par et pour leurs troupeaux de zébus et de chèvres, mais les autorités leur ayant attribué quelques terres, ils se posent de  plus en plus et se sont même mis à l’agriculture.

One of his colleagues , Felicity , advise me to go to a Masai village 40 kms from Arusha no tourist goes there but one of the members speak some English because he sometimes works for the school, and it will be easier to communicate with them.

I’ll spend two days : in theory, the Masai are nomadic and live by and for their zebu cattle and goats, but the authorities have assigned some land , they arise more and even went to agriculture.

Leur argent c’est leurs troupeaux. Quand ils doivent acheter quelque chose, ils vendent une bête.

De toutes les habitations que j’ai pu observer depuis mon départ, les leurs sont parmi les mieux finies. Des cases de parfois plus de six mètres de diamètre faites d’une armature de bois recouverte d’un mélange de purin de vache et de terre.

L’une d’entre elles sert de cuisine : le feu y brûle à même le sol et j’y serai invité à partager un repas en soirée.

Ils fabriquent une délicieuse boisson (très alcoolisée) à base de miel et de racine d’aloévéra : me souviens plus du nom mais j’suis sûr que c’est excellent pour la santé. Et en même temps après le premier verre j’me souvenais plus de mon propre nom…

Les enfants sont souvent chargés très jeunes de surveiller les bêtes.

Bien que certains d’entre eux côtoient les villes pour y chercher des emplois (souvent de gardien) et qu’ils se sédentarisent de plus en plus, les Masaïs font partie des ethnies qui ont su garder leur culture loin des règles sociales du pays et des autorités. Ils ne sont pas Tanzaniens ni Kenyans mais avant tout Masaïs. Ils ne cherchent pas le confort matériel, sont extraordinairement joyeux, solidaires et accueillants. Leur honnêteté, leur franchise et leur sens du pardon sont légendaires et ils vivent en quasi autarcie surtout dans les zones reculées.

Leur religion ne connait qu’un seul dieu qui représente aussi bien le bien que le mal, et ils ne croient pas à la vie après la mort.

Mais dans le village où je me suis rendu, certains se sont convertis au catholicisme !

Il est impossible de rencontrer des cultures aussi originales sans s’interroger sur leur devenir : combien de temps cela va-t-il durer ?

Certes l’accès au modernisme et à la médecine réduit la mortalité et la souffrance physique, mais toute cette authenticité et cette richesse culturelle qui font leur identité en pâtit.

Pour ou contre : That is the question !…

Je continue ma route vers l’Ouest. Il est impossible de traverser les parcs du Ngorongoro et du Serengeti à moto mais je veux m’en approcher. De plus Denis m’avait donné l’adresse d’un couple d’amis habitant Karatu au pied du Ngorongoro.

Colin et Laura vivent dans un endroit magnifique reculé de la ville. Ils ont créé une activité touristique d’installation de campement.

En effet il y a dans les parcs des zones de camping sans aucune infrastructure, et les lodges (quand il y en a) sont excessivement chers. L’idée est simple : sur réservation depuis leur site, ils organisent le transport du campement dans ces zones autorisées, diminuant considérablement le coût du séjour.

Quelques temps ici et je reprendrai la route pour l’Ouest en essayant de longer le lac Eyasi avant d’arriver à Mwanza, pour ensuite rattraper la frontière du Burundi.

Their religion knows only one God who is both good than evil, and they do not believe in life after death.

But in the village where I went, some have converted to Catholicism !

It is impossible to meet as original without questioning their future crops : how long will this last?

I continue my journey to the West. It is impossible to stroll through the parks of Ngorongoro and Serengeti motorcycle but I want to approach it. More Denis gave me the address of a couple of friends living at the foot of Karatu Ngorongoro .

Colin and Laura live in a beautiful place down town. They created a tourism setup camp .

Indeed there parks camping areas without infrastructure , and lodges (when available) are overpriced . The idea is simple : by reservation from their website , they organize the transport of camp authorized in these areas , greatly reducing the cost of living .

Juste un petit article concernant mon retour sur cette grande terre qu’est le continent Africain.

Just a little article about my return to this great land that is the African continent.

Le vendredi 15 novembre, j’arrive à Mahajanga dans l’intention de régler mes formalités administratives (CPD) de façon à être fin prêt pour embarquer sur le Soléa (le bateau de Françoise) et prendre la mer comme annoncé, début de semaine suivante.

Seulement, ses projets ont changé. Elle ne part plus dans cette direction…

Les départs depuis Mahajanga vers les Comores sont rares et c’est encore une fois ma bonne étoile qui interviendra : un autre bateau, l’Armas, part dans une semaine pour Moroni et qui plus est continue après déchargement vers Dar Es Salam.

Le départ est prévu dans une semaine seulement ! Quel coup de bol !

Je resterai donc une semaine de plus à Madagascar et serai accueilli par Greg et son épouse Natacha.

Une excellente semaine donc, à manger les bons petits plats préparés par Natacha et à passer nos soirées avec Sirius et sa compagne, des amis de la famille.

Avec tout ça j’en ai oublié la traditionnelle photo de mes hôtes devant la moto !

Faudra donc que je revienne un de ces jours dans le coin !

Friday, November 15 , I arrived in Mahajanga in the intention to settle my paperwork (CPD ) to be ready to board the Soléa ( Françoise boat ) and take the sea as announced early next week .

Je reprendrai donc la mer le dimanche 24 novembre en soirée, accompagné au port par Greg, Françoise et Jean-Marc de chez Colas.

L’Armas sera contraint suite à d’autres arrivées, à retourner au mouillage trois jours.

Le temps est long ici… Je dors toutes les nuits sur le pont du bateau et la journée je passe un peu de temps au cyber café. Cela me permettra de rentrer en contact avec Anneka de l’émission «Allo la planète» et de passer en direct sur «Le Mouv» le 5 décembre.

Une auditrice, Maïne, qui a vécu ici quelques années m’entend parler des soucis que j’avais rencontrés il y a 6 mois pour sortir la moto du port, et qui m’ont fait ne pas insister cette fois-ci. Elle appelle sa mère qui habite encore là tout en me faisant parvenir son numéro de téléphone via le compte facebook de la radio.

J’appelle donc Nathalie, enseignant ici depuis quelques années et elle viendra me chercher au port le jour suivant. Elle me présentera Mika, un baroudeur ayant fait le tour du monde à vélo et qui, après avoir connu les mêmes galères il y a 4 ans sur un rafiot aujourd’hui échoué devant Moroni, est resté ici. Je passerai donc mes deux dernières journées et mes trois dernières nuits chez Mika et sa compagne Nadhia.

Chantal and Jerome and I had met during my first visit in June invite me to spend a night at home.

So I called Nathalie , teacher here for a few years to pick me up at the port the next day. She presented Mika , a fighter who goes around the world by bicycle and, after experiencing the same problems there 4 years in a skiff today failed to Moroni , stayed here . I spend my last two days and my last three nights at Mika and his girlfriend Nadhia .

The Armas cast off Monday, Dec. 9 inthe early afternoon . Again a tranquil sea . And that ‘s good! For my trip until Madagascar had
really made me understand the crossing back to the mainland .

I even have the honour to take the helm !

Nous arriverons à Dar Es Salam le 11 au matin, mais à peine arrivés mauvaise nouvelle.

Ici non plus il n’y a pas de place et  le bateau sera amarré en troisième position contre une autre embarcation. Dans ces conditions, c’est quasi impossible de sortir la moto. Heureusement, le bateau à quai qui charge à la grue des sacs de gravier accepte de se déplacer le temps de nous mettre venir à quai. En plus, je bénéficierai de l’engin de levage pour seulement 5 € et la moto sera posée sur la terre ferme en moins de 5 minutes, sous le regard dépité des dockers avec qui j’avais eu quelques altercations il y a 6 mois et qui m’avaient bien reconnu.

So I take my time a little to perk up and make my visa for Burundi,Rwanda and Uganda.

I will take the next weekend road to Kilimanjaro .

After my short stay in NkhataBay, I hit the road in the direction of Mzuzu. This city is known for its honey, I regularly buy honey since my arrival in Malawi, but also for the tea and coffee that is grown.

J’en profiterai en apercevant une pharmacie pour acheter un traitement contre la bilharziose. Le lac Malawi étant réputé pour contenir ce parasite, tout le monde conseille de traiter l’éventuelle contamination lorsqu’on s’y est baigné.

Simple : le nombre de cachets, qu’il faut avaler en une prise entre la quatrième et la sixième semaine suivant la dernière baignade, est déterminé par le poids.

Ici au Malawi, ce traitement est vraiment bon marché : j’en aurai seulement pour deux USD et le traitement zigouille tous les autres parasites que l’on peut avoir chopé. Sachant que le même traitement peut atteindre les 50 USD dans d’autres pays !

Un bon café local, le plein de miel et me voilà sur la route de Livingstonia par une magnifique piste de cailloux longeant la montagne.

A chaque village, des enfants accourent pour échanger quelques éclats de rire et grimaces dans les champs de bananiers, ou pour exhiber fièrement leurs jouets «Home made» pleins d’ingéniosité.

Après avoir abandonné différents autres sites du Malawi à cause de la forte présence de moustiques, c’est l’endroit qu’avait choisi en 1894 le Dr Robert Laws, missionnaire Ecossais catholique venu pour évangéliser les populations et leur venir en aide en éradiquant l’esclavage.

Il baptisera cette mission Livingstonia en hommage au Dr Livingstone et y construira écoles, hôpital et église.

Actuellement on peut visiter un petit musée dans l’ancienne maison du Dr Laws : «The Stone House».

Par contre, faut pas trop écouter le guide qui n’a pas encore tout compris !

Le missionnaire Robert Laws étant arrivé ici en 1894 et Livingstone étant mort en 1873 : ch’est po possible heinnnn !

Je resterai cinq jours dans un petit camping, la tente plantée à 3 mètres d’un versant de montagne avec une vue splendide sur le Lac Malawi.

Livingtonia étant perchée à 1300 m d’altitude, alors que le Lac est lui-même à 500 m,  les balades à pied dans ce secteur offrent des vues panoramiques vertigineuses.

Livingtone is perched at an altitude of 1300 m, while the Lake itself is 500 m, the walks in the area offer breath-taking panoramic views.

La moto à l’abri au camping, je chausserai mes baskets et marcherai tous les jours : ici c’est le paradis des randonneurs.

Une balade aux chutes, la visite de la mission et de ses magnifiques constructions et la rencontre avec un apiculteur local heureux de me montrer «The local process» : Garanti 100% Bio !

Si le site de Livingstonia à été choisi pour l’absence de moustique, les scorpions eux sont là. En déplantant ma tente, j’aurai l’occasion d’en trouver un qui s’était logé dessous : et cet enfoiré qui faisait le mort était bel et bien vivant !

La descente côté nord de Livingstonia est réputée pour être l’une des plus abruptes et spectaculaires d’Afrique. Je dirais que c’est quand même moins pire que la Sani Pass au Lesotho ! Pfff !

Passage frontière Tanzanie : Relativement rapide.

Là où ça se gâte, c’est une fois arrivé en Tanzanie et concernant mon assurance moto.

Des gars me mettent en garde quant aux contrôles police et me conseillent de m’en procurer une après la barrière. Jusque là c’est comme d’hab.

Dans un petit bureau deux types patibulaires veulent me vendre une assurance tanzanienne sur 3 mois (minimum possible) pour un montant de 90000 Tsh (Shilling Tanzanien) soit environ 50 €.

Ayant compris depuis le temps que tout se négocie en Afrique, j’entame les palabres pour essayer de baisser le tarif. Du coup un des gars sort d’un cahier un autre certificat d’assurance à remplir. Une autre enseigne couvrant toute l’Afrique de l’Est jusqu’en Egypte.

Je rentre dans le jeu. A mon étonnement le tarif baisse considérablement et après avoir rempli le certificat, le gars ajoute que pour cette enseigne en revanche aucune facture ne me sera donnée. Je réalise que ce papier, malgré qu’il soit vrai et estampillé comme les billets de banque en encre argentée est certainement «tombé du camion» et que n’ayant aucune possibilité de m’enregistrer au niveau de la compagnie, ce justificatif d’assurance est certes moins cher et plus pratique quant à ma remontée mais… que je ne serai pas assuré…

Je reviens donc sur ma décision et opte pour le premier contrat, mais forcément ça les arrange pas : le formulaire est maintenant rempli au stylo. Le tarif redescend par magie sans que j’aie rien à demander.

Démasqué, un des types me fait carrément comprendre que, certes, je ne serai pas assuré mais que concernant les contrôles police : ça sera «no problem Boss !».

Je décide donc de prendre le risque d’aller jusqu’à Dar Es Salaam sans assurance, pour y chercher une «vraie» agence. Le type très calmement me montre un poster que je n’avais pas remarqué au mur derrière moi, et me laissera tranquillement prendre une photo en insinuant qu’il n’aime pas trop les français.

No comment !

The descent north side of Livingstone is reputed to be one of the most rugged and spectacular in Africa. I’d say it’s still not as bad as the Sani Pass in Lesotho! Pfff!

Border crossing Tanzania: Relatively fast.

Where it goes bad, it’s happened once in Tanzania and on my motorcycle insurance.

Guys are warning me about the front controls and advise me to get one after the barrier. Until then it is as usual.

In a small office two sinister guys want to sell me a Tanzanian insurance for 3 months (minimum possible) for a total of
90,000 Tsh (Tanzanian Shilling) about 50 €.

Having understood from the time that everything is negotiable in Africa, I began the palaver to try to lower theprice. So one of the guys out an insurance to meet specifications anothercertificate. Another sign covering the entire East Africa to Egypt.

I go into the game to my surprise the pricedrops considerably and after completing the certificate, the guy says that for this brand however no invoice will be given to me. I realize that this paper,although it is true and stamped as banknotes in silver ink has certainly »fallen off the truck » and having no possibility to register at thecompany level, the proof of Insurance is certainly less expensive and morepractical about my recovery … but I will not be sure…

So I go back on my decision and opted forthe first contract, but not necessarily that the arrangements: the form is nowfilled pen. The price goes down by magic with nothing to ask.

Unmasked, a type made me downright understand that while I will not be sure but on Police checks: it will be « no problem Boss! ».

I decided to take the risk of going to Dar Es Salaam without insurance, to seek a « real » office. The type very quietly showed me a poster that I had not noticed on the wall behind me, and let me take a picture quietly insinuating that they do not like the French.

En dehors de la zone frontalière et de Dar Es Salaam, les locaux ne parlent pas anglais mais heureusement, l’accueil qui m’aura laissé un goût amer sera vite oublié avec les «Karibu» (bienvenue en Swahili) lancés par les tanzaniens souriants que je croiserai depuis.

Je prendrai donc mon temps pour rejoindre la capitale en alternant : une guest house locale où je passerai un bon moment avec des routiers qui ne comprendront pas ce qu’un touriste fait là dedans, un super camping sur le bord d’une rivière à la sortie d’Iringa où je rencontrerai deux Sud Af bien sympas et Sib, un papy qui a descendu toute l’Afrique de l’Est en 2008 sur un Vespa !, et enfin un campement en brousse juste avant de traverser le Park de Mikumi.

So I take my time to reach the capital alternating: a local guest house where I spend a good time with the road that does not include a tourist is in there, great camping on the river to output Iringa where I meet two South Africans well nice and Bb, a grandpa who camedown all East Africa in 2008 on a Vespa!, and finally a camp in the bush just before crossing the Mikumi Park.

La route : un magnifique goudron mais comme d’hab. c’est encore là-dessus qu’il faut redoubler de prudence ! Des camions, des petits bus et autres véhicules se sont passé le mot pour rouler à tombeau ouvert et déboiter sans prévenir !

L’arrivée à Dar Es Salaam qui veut dire «Havre de Paix» en arabe, se passe comme dans la plupart des capitales en Afrique : un bouchon plutôt infernal que paisible dans un vacarme et une poussière terrifiants.

A Vandelbijpark, Jerôme, un ami d’Isa et Oliv, m’avait donné les coordonnées de Benoit, un motard habitant ici. Je l’avais appelé depuis le Malawi pour anticiper sur un nouveau changement de pneus et celui-ci m’avait donné le contact de Denis, belge né au Kenya, chef mécano depuis deux ans dans le nouveau garage KTM et proposant des pneus de bonnes dimensions.

Mais arrivant un vendredi soir, il me faut trouver un coin pour passer le week-end avant de m’y rendre.

Le patron du camping de Livingstonia m’avait indiqué l’endroit le moins cher pour loger à Dar. Le YMCA (Young Men’s Christian Association). J’suis sûr que tout le monde est en train de chanter un succès des Village People ! Mais cet établissement marque complet et franchement, la nonchalance et le mauvais accueil à la réception ne m’ont pas vraiment donné envie d’y rester.

Un coup de fil à Benoit pour lui demander conseil, et me voilà parti de l’autre côté de la baie en traversant sur une barge bondée : une bonne tranche de rigolade avec les passagers. J’y resterai trois nuits, dans un camping. Et ici  même les nuits sont chaudes !

Road: a beautiful tar but as usual. Still on it must be extra careful! Trucks, small buses and other vehicles have passed the word to roll at breakneck speed and uncouple without warning!

The arrival in Dar Es Salaam, which means « Haven of Peace » in Arabic, as happens in most capitals in Africa: a rather quiet in that infernal racket and terrifying dust cap.

A Vanderbijlpark, Jerome, a friend of Isa Oliv, gave me details of Benoit, a biker living here. I called from Malawi to anticipate a new tyre change and he gave me the contact Denis, a Belgian born in Kenya, chief mechanic for two years in the new garage KTM and offering good tyre dimensions.

But arriving on a Friday night, I need to find a place to spend the weekend before I get there.

The owner of the campsite Livingstone had told me the cheapest place to stay in Dar. The YMCA (Young Men’s Christian
Association). I’m sure everyone is singing a hit Village People! But hotel brand full and frankly, the nonchalance and poor service at reception did not really make me want to stay there.

A call to Benoit for advice, and I was offon the other side of the bay through a crowded barge: a good laugh with passengers. I will stay three nights at a campsite. And here the nights are hot!

Le lundi matin suivant, je vais donc voir Denis au garage KTM.

En plus d’y changer mes pneus, Denis me laissera faire une vidange et un réglage du jeu de soupapes.

The following Monday morning, I’ll see Denis KTM in the garage.

Apart from changing my tyres, Denis lets me do an oil change and adjustment of valve clearance.

Depuis quelques mois, je réfléchis un peu à mon itinéraire retour. Pour m’aider à élaborer un plan, je tiens compte de la saison des pluies à venir sur l’est africain. Si je ne veux pas me la payer en Ethiopie où les routes sont réputées difficiles, et profiter un peu de l’été nordique pour ma remontée Européenne, l’idéal serait d’attendre deux ou trois mois avant de prendre la route vers le Nord.

Deux ou trois mois ?? Et si je me faisais un trip sur les îles ? Comores, Mayotte, Madagascar ?? En plus c’est la meilleure saison là-bas durant les mois prochains : pas trop chaud et sec !

Il me faut donc organiser les trajets en bateau et essayer d’établir un budget.

Tout ça va me prendre du temps et Denis me propose de m’héberger le temps des recherches ! Elle est pas belle la vie ?

Très bon accueil donc chez Denis, son épouse Susie et la petite Maya.

Sur le port de Dar Es Salaam il y a un tas de petites agences qui vendent des trajets ferry jusque Zanzibar et les Comores, mais très cher avec la moto et rien pour Mada. Je passerai une journée à faire le tour des compagnies de cargo mais ils ne veulent pas prendre de passagers et demandent de mettre la moto en caisse : très cher aussi.

Entre les Comores et Mada, David, un ami d’origine comorienne installé à Lille me donne les infos : aucun problème, trois ferries par semaine.

Je fais mes calculs, cherche partout, mais les résultats ne sont pas encourageants. Ce n’est vraiment pas un budget raisonnable.

La journée, je vais stationner la moto devant un grand hôtel casino : en donnant un billet aux gardiens, ils veillent sur elle et je pars à pied en ville et au port. Je rencontre un italien installé ici depuis 5  ans et il me parle de la société française de transport «Bolloré» qui se trouve à la sortie de la ville. Là-bas, je rencontrerai Jean-Marie un Français. Il a de bons contacts au port qui conseillent d’aller à Zanzibar pour prendre un bateau pour les Comores. Mais finalement rien de concret. Je commençais donc à baisser les bras quand, je rencontre un client du garage où travaille Denis.

Jean-François a aussi des contacts au port, et me propose de m’y emmener pour rencontrer directement le Capitaine d’un bateau partant le mardi suivant pour les Comores. Après quelques palabres et négociations à la barrière, on arrive à approcher le bateau et à discuter avec le bras droit du Capitaine.

Après 10 minutes, j’obtiens l’autorisation de voyager avec eux mardi. Tarif aller-retour avec la moto et la tambouille durant les trois jours de mer jusqu’aux Comores plus de deux fois moins cher que l’aller simple avec les agences qui ne prévoyaient pas la nourriture ! Cela dit le bateau en question ressemble à un mini cargo qui a tout l’air d’avoir 500 ans. Une poignée de main et rendez vous lundi après midi pour voir les dockers qui chargeront la moto sur l’embarcation.

J’aurai l’occasion d’aller faire un tour sur Zanzibar à mon retour en laissant la moto chez Denis.

Donc le programme : départ mardi pour les Comores où je ne resterai que quelques jours, ferry jusque Mada dont je compte faire le tour sur deux mois environ, de nouveau les Comores pour m’y balader quelques jours, et retour à Dar Es Salaam.

In recent months, I think a little to my return route. To help me develop a plan, I am thoughtful of the rainy season coming to East Africa. If I do not want to pay in Ethiopia where the roads are notoriously difficult, and enjoy a bit of summer for my northern European recovery, the ideal would be to wait two or three months before taking the road to the North .

Two or three months? And what if I were to take a trip to the islands? Comores, Mayotte, Madagascar? In addition it is the best season there in the coming months: not too hot and dry!

So I have to organize boat trips and try to establish a budget.

All it will take me some time and Denis offers to host me the time researching! He’s not life grand?

Therefore very welcomed at Denis, his wife Susie and little Maya.

In the port of Dar Es Salaam there are a lot of small agencies that sell ferry trips up Zanzibar and the Comores, but very expensive with the bike and nothing to Mada. I will take one day tour the cargo companies but they do not want to take passengers to and ask for the bike box: very expensive too.

Between the Comores and Madagascar, David, a friend of Comorian origin settled in Lille gives me information: no problem,
three ferries a week.

I do my calculations, looking everywhere, but the results are not encouraging. This is really not a reasonable budget.

The day I parked the bike in front of a grand hotel casino: giving a ticket to the guards, they watch for it and I’m going to walk into town and the harbour. I met an Italian settled here for 5 years and he tells me the French transport company ‘Bolloré’ which is out of the city. There, I meet a French Jean-Marie. He has good contacts at the port who advise to go to Zanzibar to take a boat to the Comores. But ultimately nothing concrete. I began to give up when I meet a client of the garage where Denis works.

Jean-François also has contacts in port and offers to take me to meet directly with the Captain of a ship sailing on the following
Tuesday for the Comores. After some talking and negotiations at the gate, we come closer to the boat and talk to the right arm of the captain.

After 10 minutes, I get permission to travel with them Tuesday. Return fare with the bike and grub during the three days of sea to the Comores, two times cheaper than one way with the agencies that did not provide the food! It said the vessel in question looks like a mini cargo which all seem to have 500 years. A handshake and appointment Monday afternoon to see the dockworkers charge the bike on the boat.

I have the opportunity to go for a ride on my return to Zanzibar leaving the bike at Denis

So the program starting Tuesday for the Comores, where I will stay a few days, until Mada ferry which I intend to turn about two months back Comoros me to wander a few days and back to Dar Es Salaam.
